Embracing a new adventure
Since being in quarantine I have been trying to find ways to creatively entertain myself and my kids. One of my favorite ways has been reading together as a family, so when The Adventures of Rockford T. Honeypot arrived I was excited for a new adventure. A story filled with adventure and fantasy? I’m in!
My Review of The Adventures of Rockford T. Honeypot
This book was amazing! It is filled adventure and wonder and It shows how believing in yourself can allow you to accomplish anything no matter what the circumstances are. Life is unpredictable but it is our will and passion for something bigger that will allow us to succeed. I love this message and I think it is so important for kids to believe that about themselves as well. The author, Josh Gottsegen did a fantastic job in creating this intricate world that you can’t help but feel fully immersed in it. Every detail every idea was so thought out and it allows you to truly imagine this amazing world he created.
Who is Rockford T. Honeypot?
Rockford T. Honeypot is a timid, afraid of germs chipmunk who dreams of adventure. When he unintentionally destroys the family business his family abandoned him and is left to take care of himself. With the hunger of adventure he sets out on his own adventure. This story follows Rockford through his adventures of meeting new friends, falling in love, and enduring hardships. We see how his perseverance allows him to accomplish his wildest dreams! IT is truly a wonderful story one for all ages to enjoy.

About The Author Josh Gottsegen
Los Angeles native Josh Gottsegen has a background in filmmaking and digital media and is the author of “Joosh’s Juice Bar,” an early elementary school children’s book series that encourages healthy eating habits through vivid illustrations and Dr. Seussian-style rhymes. Earning his BA in Film Studies at the University of California Santa Barbara, Gottsegen has won numerous awards for his short films and video productions. Starting professionally at NBCUniversal Interactive, later Josh Gottsegen moved into editing as well as other creative projects for the Walt Disney Company, Fox Corporation, IMG, and the NFL.
