Splitsville Anaheim Downtown Disney

One of our favorite things to do on the weekends is to hang out at Downtown Disney. There are so many great food options, and we can even spend some time just sitting in the lobby of the Grand Californian Hotel or listening to whichever live band is performing a set down by where the movie theater used to be; basically weekend chill but with (of course) a bit of Disney sprinkled onto it. This past weekend we took things up a notch and finally visited Splitsville Anaheim in Downtown Disney!

Our visit was hosted by Splitsville in exchange for our honest review. All opinions are 100% my own.

With its retro vibes and amazing food and service we knew our family was in for a great experience right away.

Right when you walk in you’re greeted with a friendly team, great music, and the feel of a very classic-but-polished bowling alley. The Anaheim location is two stories with full bars on each floor, semi private lanes, AND a dining room on each floor. A fun twist on the unique aesthetic is murals honoring Orange County spread throughout the facility. And the experience itself is up to you- you have the option of dining, bowling or both! We would definitely recommend going all-in to get the full experience.

Where To Find It?

Splitsville is located across from Tortilla Jo’s Right next to Black Tap! You will have to park at the Downtown Disney Parking lot.

It’s worth noting that a $20 purchase from a retail or quick service location will allow you to receive 3 hours of parking validation. If you visit a table service location (that includes Splitsville) you can receive 5 hours parking validation. (To make advanced dining reservations you can head over to Disneyland.com or Splitsville.com)

Let’s Bowl

What I loved about Splitsville is that even the youngest bowler can have in on the fun. We were surprised to find they had shoes to fit our toddler and the check-in team automatically set up the bumpers so he felt like he was always winning. (Actually, he was always winning. Turns out, we are very poor bowlers.) Each lane is also equipped with a bowling aid ramp as well. When you check in, the team member will set-up all your information so that your lane is ready to go from the moment you walk up.

You will be able to keep track of your allotted time on the scoreboard itself. Your time is based on the size of your party. As a party of 4 (technically 3 players) we found 1.5 hours gave us plenty of time to play & eat without having to even think about the clock!

Let’s Eat

Speaking of eating – the food was incredible! It was nothing like what I would have expected from your average bowling alley. This was legit dining, with a range of appetizers, fresh sushi, burgers, sandwiches and so much more.

My wife is pescatarian (vegetarian+seafood OK) so we opted for food options we both could enjoy. To start, we ordered the loaded fries, which were AMAZING! We asked for it with no bacon and they were still phenomenal… but I’m sure the bacon would take the flavor to a whole new level! We also ordered the Grilled Avocado & Ahi Tuna – I was a bit skeptical but couldn’t have been more wrong. This appetizer is now one of my DTD favorites- fresh, gratuitous amounts of Ahi Tuna, with the perfect amount of spice. The seafood was a hit so we continued the trend and ordered the Volcano roll and Fantasy roll and both were fresh and light. Our little dude is a picky eater, so we ordered him a simple cheeseburger with applesauce and he loved it. They have plenty of other options for little ones to enjoy too!

And, of course, everyone loves dessert. We ordered the Ghiradelli brownie. If you love chocolate this (perfectly shareable) item is a must.

The food here was amazing and I wish we could have ordered it all! The menu has something for everyone to enjoy.

Our Overall Experience

My family and I had a wonderful time at Splitsville Anaheim and will definitely come back for more. Our little dude had so much fun and loved playing with the “Minnie ball.” I honestly believe he wouldn’t been too keen on the concept of bowling if it wasn’t for the extra Disney touch! For us, the experience was fantastic for a multitude of reasons.

We were able to have an interactive experience without crowds or obnoxious noise levels. Thanks to the semi-private lanes, we were able to enjoy a meal without feeling rushed because it was an acceptable environment to let our toddler move around our area rather than staying seated. The overall environment was to the clean/luxurious/fun standard you would expect from anything on Disney property.

The team members were amazing and the overall service was great. It’s is the perfect place for a date night or to visit during your vacation to Disneyland Resort!
