OH MY GOSH! If you didn’t know, December 10th was Disney Investor Day. There was so much information shared it was all overwhelming, but in a good way. I am honestly so excited for everything making it’s way to Disney+, Walt Disney Studios, PIXAR, Star Wars, MARVEL and so much more! So, I decided I’d create a post highlighting some of the titles announced. Hang on friends, if you are a Disney Fan then you’ll want to read this one. Grab your coffee and let’s get into it!
New Announcements
Disney Television Studios For Disney+
- “Beauty and the Beast (working title)” starring Luke Evans and Josh Gad with new music composed by Alan Menken – Inspired by a Disney Property
- “Swiss Family Robinson” which is a reimagining of the classic from Ron Moore and Jon M. Chu. – Inspired by a Disney property
- “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” based on the bestselling book series by Rick Riordan from Disney Publishing Worldwide.

Okay, I am SO excited about everything announced, BUT, I am EXTRA stoked for this one!
“Encanto” – which includes new songs by Emmy®, GRAMMY® and Tony Award® winner Lin-Manuel Miranda and is slated for theaters in November 2021. !!! I LOVE Lin-Manuel Miranda SO much and when he teased this during an interview I was so excited. Glad to know there’s a title and the first look trailer was beautiful!
“Raya and the Last Dragon” will debut simultaneously on Disney+ Premier Access and in theaters in March 2021.
