What is WandaVision about?
Marvel Studios presents “WandaVision,” a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) – two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives – begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. The new series is directed by Matt Shakman; Jac Schaeffer is head writer.
Trailer:
If you are new to the MCU you may not know who these two are. I promise you once you meet them and learn their story they will quickly become your favorites.
There are a few important movies you should watch before watching WandaVision on Friday January 15th. These movies will help give you a better understanding of who Wanda and Vision are.
Important Marvel Movies to Watch Before WandaVision
(This list is in no particular order)
Avengers: Age Of Ultron
If there is ANY movie you watch before wandaVision, it has to be Avengers: Age Of Ultron, it just has to I don’t make the rules. In Age of Ultron we are introduced to Wanda AND Vision and learn about Wanda’s past and how Vision was created.

Captain Marvel
Although Wanda nor Vision have no direct correlation with Captain Marvel, in the WandaVision trailer we find out about a key Character. Monica Rambeau is first seen in the films as a child. She is Carol Danver’s Best Friend daughter in the film. Although her parts are small it’s still important to know where she comes from and how she relates to the MCU. She’s also scheduled to show up in Captain Marvel 2 which I am stoked about.

Captain America: Civil War
This is where we see Wanda and Vision really interaction on a deeper level. Civil War is where their relationship starts and really starts to flourish. There is a bit of tension due to the Sokovia accords, but that doesn’t stop them from creating a relationship.

Avengers: Infinity War
This movie hit hard. This was the movie that destroyed everything. As we know Thanos succeeds and gains all the infinity stones but one, the mind stone, which is a part of Vision. Vision asks Wanda to destroy the stone and in turn killing him. This moment was art in of itself. Elizabeth Olsen’s acting in this scene is incredible. Unfortunately, although she succeeds in destroying the stone, Thanos has the time stone and is able to turn back time to get the Mind Stone himself.

Avengers: End Game
I think End Game and Infinity Ware are tied for my most favorite movie of all time. End Game is absolutely incredible in every way. Although we don’t see much of Wanda since she was dusted off with the other half of the World. She does return in the end for the battle of all battles and almost single handedly defeats Thanos.

Honorable Mentions
Ant Man and Wasp – Randall Park comes back as Jimmy Woo in WandaVision. He is first seen in AMW as a former S.H.I.E.L.D agent who was recruited for the F.B.I and assigned as Scott Lang’s Parole officer.
Avengers – If you are a brand Marvel fan maybe you want to get a better understanding of who the Avengers are as a whole so this movie is great for beginners. There won’t be any mention of Wanda or Vision, but it’s good to get the full picture.
I hope you find this post helpful and I hope you watch WandaVision as soon as you can.
